Here is a used vintage almost antique Roto - Hoe Chipper Shredder. The muffler is not original and should be replaced. Has been kept in my shed for the past 4 years. I have used it to chop up branches and leaves. It will handle branches upp to 1 inch. I did not chop any larger. Great for composting leaves. Shreds them up real good, for easier breakdown in the soil. I was going to restore, but do not have the time. The engine is a 5hp Tecumseh. The blades could use some sharpening. Great machine for a smaller property owner. The Tecumseh engine starts and runs strong and smooth. Little loud though. The carb leaks a little. May just need a new gasket or new bowl. One of the shredder plates is missing. This is easily fabricated. Easily moved with the handle to where you need it. Attach it to your tractor hitch and go. When I got this it was not running and had a blown headgasket. I took the head off and resurfaced it. While the head was off, I gave it a valve job and cleaned it up nice. Now with a new head gasket and fresh valve job. Probably has about 6 hours of run time it. The belt is getting a little worn and will need to be replaced at some piont. Nice little machine for a great opening bid.
