Up for auction is one Husqvarna 395XP parts saw. I picked several of these up off a logger in trade. He wasn't bashful about taking parts off perfectly good saws. Near as I can tell the ignition quit on it & shortly thereafter he needed a carb, oil pump, starter etc. I gave the saw a pretty good cleaning and inspection. The piston shows wear but no scoring. You have no idea how hard it is to hang on to a big bore crankcase with no handles for a compression test! It easily went over 150lbs but is probably closer to 160, I just couldn't hang on to it over 150 & I dont want to try to put it in the vise & risk breaking something. What you see is what you get. The crankcase is in great shape with no breaks, & the crank bearings feel tight and smooth. It has no spark so it will need an ignition, the oil pump & clutch are gone but oil pickup hose is there. It has the intake, but no carb. The muffler I cleaned & repainted, a little dented but in good shape. Ideally, this would be a GREAT engine for someone that just smoked up theirs. Given that these saws are about 1200.00 new, piecing it together from ebay parts wouldn't be a bad way to go either. Anyway, I'm listing it as a parts saw & have no control over how you put it together. Therefore it's as is.
